I am analysing this room for a media assignment to understand what kind of person lives there. I chose this room....

    Owner of this room is female. I say this room belongs to a girl because the there pictures of the girl       all over her wall also her bed sheet are full of hearts, and are pink which proves it belongs to a girl.         You can also see there is a pink stuffed on the chair so I assume this room belongs to a girl.

2.What is age of the room's owner?

   I think the age of the girl who owns this room is around 16-18 because her style seems to be teen      like. Also there is a chair on the left of the room with a university's logo which can mean she leaving for  university soon. Also there seems to be a laptop on her bed which seems to prove a student lives in  that room.

3.What hobbies does the room owner have? 

   I think the room owner is a creative in some sort of way. I would say she love photography and that    it's her hobby there pictures covered in her room from head to toe. I would say she loves playing    softball because on the corner of the room there seems to be an award she got for softball.

4.What is the socio-economic background of the room's owner?
   The socio-economic background of this room owner would be middle class because she seems have enough to by a laptop and fancy things in her room. Also if there is a logo in her room for a university/college she to have enough money for tuition. Which some can't even afford.

5.How do you think the room's owner spends their Friday nights?
  It seems that this person like to hang out her friends, telling from her pictures she seems like a very  social person. Also she might like to go and party.

   I would say this room owner likes to have slumber parties with some friends. Or go to the movies.    She might go to the beach during the summer showing form her pictures.

Dear Diary,
  
     So today was a pretty weird day.First when I went to school, I had the same top as Jessica Tyler yeah she seems nice to everyone in the world, but inside she is a s cold as an ice cube that was stuck in Antarctica for more than 30 years. Luckily my girl Bae had an extra top thank god. Bae always has my back no matter what, she is my bestie for life. Alright so next when I went to my photography class I bumped into Zack Collins the most popular guy in our school, talk about moment in paradise. To make it even better I think he almost held my hand, well not really my books fell but he helped me pick them up, and our fingers. touched. Sad thing is Zack is Jessica's so he is off limits unless you want to spend your high school life in a dumpster. So anyways I went to my photography class Mr.Henderson as always greets you with a compliment "Hey Jade, you look as creative as always." Not exactly a compliment but I'll take it. Photography is my favorite class like ever, it' so much fun. You can tell a whole story using a single image which seems to help me a lot when it comes to expressing my emotions. I hope to take it as a major at the University Of Michigan my dream school. Just 2 more years of high school, and I'm free!! So after school Bae comes to my locker and asks "So Jade sleepover my place?" I had a such a tiring day I couldn't say no to her, "Sure why not? It will be fun!" So walking home listening to "Call me Maybe" while reading the "Hunger Games" I see Zack coming from football practice I of course go to Lala Land and dream of him fighting over me against Channing Tatum. BAM! I bump into him, and I of course I fall on the ground. How embarrassing could I get? Then suddenly Zack helped me from the ground, and said super cute "Are you following me?" I blushed my face was so red thank god he didn't notice. "Hey I've been watching you, you seem really cool. I see your pictures all over Tumblr so sick!" Oh my god did he just say that or did I fall and ended up in heaven somehow. " Uh, um,um, uh thanks I didn't even think anyone looked at my blog."
"Are you kidding me Jade your so cool I wish I could do that, or even had a bit of that kind of talent. So Jade um, uh ummm, do you want to go on a date sometime? There is a really cool teen inspired photography exhibit happening, and I really wanted to go. Um, uh, like would you want to come with me I'm gonna need someone to explain this stuff to me anyways." AHHHHHHHHHHHHH he did not just ask me this OH MY GOD!! Fireworks are going off in my head. Calm Jade, calm I collected my thoughts, and asked the most daring question ever. "How about Jessica aren't you guys an item?" "What no! We are a thing of the past more like freshman year past. So am I taking that daring question as a yes?" "Yes Zack I would love to go out you with you." "Alright Jade see you tonight, bye." "Later Zack". He left, and I ran home as fast as possible, but oh yeah the sleepover. Well it was just sleepover. Wait it was on a weekday on a school night, something was off. She seemed overly excited when she came to my locker, it is September 30th, oh my lord her birthday. How can I forget? I am the worst best friend ever! Wait how about Zack I can't just blow him off I had crush on him since the 4th grade. What to do? What to do?

Burger King "Super Seven Incher" Closing statement

Write 400 on whether you think the advertising campaign was successful or not.
    In my opinion I absolutely do not think that the advertising campaign was successful I think it crashed, burned, and died. Nobody in their right mind would buy a sandwich that has reference tot a penis like it's so disgusting. One reason why it wasn't successful was because it really was hurtful to lots of women, and it shows how women are just sex toys when for years they have tried to have equal status as men. This ad was not helping anything.
    It was not only offensive to women but to gay, and transgender, guys even though they are guys they do not want to be portrayed in that light. Also it unappetizing to eat a sandwich thinking of oral sex. It will make them throw up in my opinion. I know the ad was to make young boys sexually excited, and make them buy the sandwich. But we shouldn't be planting these fantasies into young minds thinking that they can hook up with any women, and that they look like that. Advertisers should think how these ad could mess up with their heads, and personal lives.

1. Why did the creator of this advertisement think it would be successful for selling the " BK Super Seven Incher"?

  I think the creator thought it would successful because it would give sexual appeal to men. But the creator was completely thinking of the men in sterotypical way that men only love sex and food. So in way it my offensive to some men.

2.What sort of negative backlash did this advertisement receive?

 Well for one thing women are not a fan of this commercial it completely objectifies women saying that we will just have sex with anyone who it's this sandwich. It makes us as women look weak. It problem for women around the world to have an equal status as men already so why would a very successful fast food franchisee risk bad business by putting up a sexist poster up.

3.Do you the backlash help or hindered the advertisement?

  I think the backlash hindered the advertisement because it made men look like animals, and made women  look like complete sex toys. Also nowadays there transgender, and gay men and they would absolutely hate and sue for this because it's putting them in a bad light.

          These are types of questions you must ask yourself before doing a commercial to making successful.
 Text- Text is very important in a commercial it gives your whole commercial. These are the questions you must ask yourself.
          - What kind of text is it (i.e. magazine, poster, book)
          - In what way does the media text tell the story?
          - Whose point of view do the value represent?

Production- Who produced the media text and for what reason?
           - How was the text made?
           - What production techniques are used?
           - How is the text distributed or sold to the public?
           
2. How do the three aspects relate to each other?
   The three aspects of a commercial relate to each other cause they need each other to succeed. Like how text and audience relate to each other like if the text is offensive the audience won't appeal to it. Also how production needs text like you can say a line in a movie but without music, lighting, it won't sound as humorous, or sad as it is suppose to be. So these as apects of media need each other to succeed.

3.Which side is most important for the advertiser to understand?
   I think the most important side for the advertiser to understand is the audience because they have to see which gender, race, culture, target audience they are reaching to, and so they have to try to learn everything about them so the commercial won't be offensive, will be appropriate.

4.Which side is the most important for the consumer to understand?
  The most important side for the consumer to understand to understand is the production because when we music, lights, and special effects, the message seems to get across better. For example like you can have no text but with amusing music, and funny movement it could be hilarious! Or when you have a very serious scene you can dim the light for all seriousness.

 


   

Let me tell you a little about Myself...

My name is Sofia also know as Fosia, Sofi, or the occasional Sofa. I really dont have much experience with computer technology if count Facebook. Twitter, or even Tumblr which I rarely use then I would be considered a computer genius.
 What I find most about exciting about media is photography. It's amazing how one  image can tell whole story. Hopefully I can learn to create the excitement I usually get from simple photos to suprise other people as well.
 My favorite commerical would be those chocolate commercials where they have like a piece of chocolate falling from the heavens and then brings everyone joy. It really is funny to me because the directors expect the us the viewers/consumers to think that we can get all the happiness in the world from a simple piece of chocolate. When in reality it causes breakouts,weight gain, and the comfort food men use to mend their broken heart.
  I was originally born in Montreal, Quebec, the home of Poutine, and unjust Bloc du Quebecqoui. I moved to Toronto, Ontario five years ago because my fathers work got transferred here. What I like about this city  is there is excitement in every corner, and multiculuralism is truly amazing it's like everone in this city understand the golden rule, "Treat people the way you want to be treated."
   My goal in in the world of computer design / creation is to learn how get across  to your message across a video or a picture, I want to be able to understand it and one t be able to make it.
